Minimalism composer Jon Anton has visited Arañas de Marte. We have had the chance to know a bit more about this musical genre, its origins as a part of the underground art music. We have talked about the great minimal music composers, namely Philip Glass, La Monte Young, Steve Reich or Terry Riley. And we have listened to some of the works by Anton himself, music for films and theater, conceptual works, etc.
After saying goodby to Jon, we have finished the programme with songs by palestinian hip-hop singer Shadia Mansour and rhythm and blues unsung but very influential Arthur Alexander.
